COMPANY

Present

I P C plast spol. s r.o. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of painting rollers and other accessories for professionals and DIY enthusiasts. The company has good capital resources and for many years it has been one of the most stable companies in the Czech Republic. For this reason, since 2013 the company has been regularly awarded the CERTIFICATE AAA CZECH Stability Award EXCELLENT.

In past years the company underwent rapid innovative development. We significantly expanded the original line of products, but also the network of business partners. The manufacturing methods and production quality also saw substantial changes.

Today the company utilizes state-of-the-art technologies for production of painting rollers to achieve a high production quality, short lead times and, last but not least, attractive pricing.

The attributes won a steady network of business partners, which expands each year and increases the production volume. More than 95% of the production is exported outside the Czech Republic. Our customers are not only from the European Union, but also from Japan, India, the USA and Canada. The annual production volume reaches approx. CZK 640 mil., which represents 75 million units of various roller types.

I P C also focuses on the field of plastic moulding. At the beginning of 2014 the company commissioned the production and warehousing MOULDING HALL. It is used to manufacture components of painting rollers and its accessories (strainers, pans etc.). We produce approx. 200 mil. units of plastic parts annually.

The company also operates an in-house TOOL SHOP, providing repairs and maintenance of the machinery, as well as the development and design of dedicated machines for the production technologies for painting rollers and moulds for the moulding hall. Some solutions are patent protected in the Czech Republic as well as in the EU. The tool shop is equipped with CNC machinery.

The Company’s history

The Company’s history begins in 1990, when the current owner and his family established the company for the manufacture of accessories, objects and tools for home improvement. It started to manufacture products from supplied material and for a single customer.

Before long it became clear that the  collaboration at that time – contract work for a single customer – had limited prospects, so we started to seek new partners and to purchase material directly from suppliers.

This started a stage of intensive development of the company, identification of new markets and business partners. We also started to systematically expand our product line to suit our customers. The development focused on the production of sewn universal rollers. Gradually, the innovation of the production affected other products – foam rollers and rollers made by thermal fusion.

All available financial assets were invested into the development of the manufacturing equipment, purchase of new tools and machinery, production technology, improvement of efficiency, production quality and expansion of the production.

With the growth of the economic potential the Company focused on other activities as well, especially moulding of plastic and manufacture of moulds, tools and new machines in its in-house tool shop. This required improvement of the professional qualification of the employees. Today, the Company is successfully improving the manufacturing procedures, manufacturing technology, and it is building new production lines for all of the product lines.

The current production technologies are oriented towards the product quality, high work productivity and mass production.

After 27 years, I P C plast spol. s r.o. is an established, reliable and proactive business partner, capable of delivering high-quality products in a design and within deadlines according to the customer’s requirements. Thanks to its production quality and volume the Company ranks among the leading European painting roller manufacturers.

About the competition:

THE RESULTS OF THE CZECH LEADER AWARDS ARE IN
Prague, 12 June 2019 – The Czech Leader Awards competition has a winner. Eighty-nine companies with the best economic results reached this year’s final. These were selected from 1,307 companies that all met the competition’s criteria. The professional guarantor of this year’s competition, CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau selected the companies. Forty-three percent of the companies were family-owned; 63% operate abroad through their products and services.
More than half of the companies, 62.5% of those that made it to this year’s Czech Leader Awards final, have been on the Czech market for over 20 years, and 54% of them were established in the first half of the 1990s. “The analysis further demonstrated that the main incentive for the majority of the ‘ leaders’ was the attempt to stand on their own two feet or go their own way or save a company that would otherwise disappear. Currently, owners emphasise the need to support meaningful regional activity,” explains Helena Kohoutová, founder of the Czech Leader Awards project and the Helas Entrepreneurial platform – Proudly building the Czech Republic.
This year, the professional guarantor of the competition, CRIF - Czech Credit Bureau, applied updated models used under CRIF Ratings to further improve the quality of evaluating the companies. This also includes the iRating economic evaluation, which is comparable to the evaluation system of large banks and is used by several financial institutions. Moreover, it is in line with the BASEL III methodology. “Evaluating the economic situation of the competition’s participants was thoroughly achieved using the Cribis Index, which is used by organisations based on financial and non-financial indicators that are processed from the information in the Cribis application. The fact that almost half of the participants in the competition’s final round were family-owned companies that have successfully established themselves among fierce competition in their markets, is important information for the business culture in the Czech Republic. The promise for the future is the fact that over 60% of the finalists have also successfully established themselves in foreign markets. We admire all the companies that have met the competition’s criteria and we hope that these companies continue to be leaders in their markets,” said Pavel Finger, Vice-Chairman of the CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau Board of Directors.
